Plus1 is an invite-only service. by using the service you agree not to abuse it: no spam, no harassment, no illegal activity. we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, in whole or in part, with or without notice.
who can use Plus1. you must be at least 18 years old and use a U.S. phone number. by using the service, you confirm you meet both. if you don't, please don't use Plus1.
SMS and group chats. only a verbally onboarded admin can add Plus1 to a group chat. by adding Plus1, the admin agrees that messages sent to the thread β from them and from anyone else in the group β may be received and processed by Plus1, including by automated systems and third-party AI providers, so the bot can operate and reply. Plus1 introduces itself to the group on arrival; any participant can reply STOP to opt out at any time.
introduction, STOP, HELP. the first message Plus1 sends in a new chat is an introduction: it identifies as an AI, names the person who added it, and tells everyone they can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for info. until a given person sends a message of their own after that introduction, Plus1 will not quote them or reply about them by name β so anyone who isn't comfortable has a clean chance to opt out, or to ask the group to remove the bot, before their content is processed beyond delivery. STOP and HELP work in any chat, at any time. msg & data rates may apply.
SMS program terms (10DLC)
Program name: Plus1. Program description: Plus1 is an SMS/MMS customer-care assistant for group chats, operated from Brooklyn, NY, USA. Plus1 sends conversational customer-care messages β coordination help, requested reminders, and short replies to questions directed at the bot β inside SMS/MMS group chats you have added Plus1 to. Plus1 does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages.
Opt-in. Plus1 is invite-only. To use Plus1, you must first be onboarded as a group-chat admin in a live 1:1 call with the operator (phone, video, or in-person), during which you give express verbal consent to receive SMS/MMS messages from Plus1 on the mobile number you provide. Only after verbal consent is Plus1's phone number shared with you. Plus1 does not accept signups through a website form and will not text any number that has not been verbally onboarded and allowlisted. To start the onboarding process, email hi@plus1chat.com.
Message frequency varies based on how much your group uses Plus1. Typical volume is 0-10 messages per participant per day.
Fees. Plus1 does not charge you for SMS. Msg & data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Keywords. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any Plus1 message to opt out β honored immediately and globally across every group Plus1 is in with you. Reply HELP or INFO for a reminder of what Plus1 is and how to reach the operator. Reply START, YES, or UNSTOP to re-enable Plus1 after a prior opt-out.
Network. Plus1 uses a standard US 10-digit long-code (10DLC) phone number and sends over the US SMS/MMS network. Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. No mobile information, phone number, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
your messages and our use of them. you keep ownership of what you send. to run Plus1, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, and display that content only to provide and improve the service β including routing through telecommunications carriers and processing through third-party AI inference services so the bot can reply. we do not sell your messages. we use subprocessors (for example cloud hosting, SMS/MMS providers, and AI APIs) only as needed to deliver the service. if we ever use message content for anything beyond running and improving Plus1, weβll update this page and our privacy summary before we do.
AI outputs. Plus1 can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate. you're responsible for what you and your group send and for how you act on what Plus1 says. nothing Plus1 says is professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
PLUS1 AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED βAS ISβ AND βAS AVAILABLE.β WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLUS1'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) U.S. $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, EVEN IF WE'VE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.
you agree to defend and indemnify Plus1, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
these terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. you agree that disputes will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
we may update these terms from time to time. the version live on the site when you use the service is the one that applies, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
