What Plus1 is

Plus1 is an SMS/MMS service for group chats, operated from Brooklyn, NY, USA. Plus1 is invite-only and does not accept signups through this website.

How you opt in

To use Plus1 you must first be onboarded as a group-chat admin in a live 1:1 call with the operator, during which you give express verbal consent to receive SMS messages from Plus1. Only after verbal consent is Plus1's phone number shared with you. Plus1 will never text a phone number that has not been verbally onboarded. To start the process, email hi@plus1chat.com.

What Plus1 will text you

Conversational messages inside SMS/MMS group chats you have added Plus1 to: coordination help (e.g. "3 of 4 picked May 17"), requested reminders, and short replies to questions directed at the bot. Plus1 only replies when addressed by the group and does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages.

Message frequency

Varies based on how much your group uses Plus1. Typical volume is 0-10 messages per participant per day.

Fees

Plus1 does not charge you for SMS. Msg & data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Opt out / help

Reply STOP to any message from Plus1 to opt out at any time — this works in any chat, is honored immediately, and is global across every group Plus1 is in with you. Reply HELP for a reminder of what Plus1 is and how to contact the operator. You can also ask the admin who added Plus1 to remove it from the group chat.

Network

Plus1 uses a standard US 10-digit long-code (10DLC) phone number and sends over the US SMS/MMS network. Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Plus1 does not sell or share your mobile information, phone number, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
